Our Team

Fred Guzielek
President

Fred Guzielek is a 1976 graduate of Siena College holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He started in the insurance business in 1976 as a sales associate with John Hancock Life. He then joined Hoy Agency in 1983 becoming an officer in 1985, and President in 1993.

Fred has served on Utica National's School Advisory Board, is past president for the Fulton County Agents Association, Fulton-Montgomery Life Underwriters Associates, and Pinebrook Golf Club. He is also past president of the Johnstown High School Sports Booster Club, and has served on the Johnstown YMCA Board of Directors, and the Fulmont Mutual Advisory Board. Currently, he is a member of the Broadalbin Lions Club and coaches J.V basketball for Johnstown High School.

Fred's interests involve all sports, especially golf and football where he is an active football official within the Capital District Football Officials Association.

Tim Munn
Vice President

Tim Munn is a 1997 graduate of St. John Fisher College holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism. He joined the agency in 2003 and holds New York State licenses in Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, & Health.

Tim assists the agency with Personal and Commercial Lines sales and service as well as marketing and administration.

Tim resides in the Town of Broadalbin with his wife Christine and their sons Bobby and Carson. He volunteers time coaching youth sports for the Broadalbin Youth Commission and is a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Elaine Giaquinto
Secretary/Office Manager

Elaine has been a licensed insurance professional since 1987. She joined Hoy Agency in 1989. A licensed professional in Property and Casualty as well as Life, Accident and Health. She is also a licensed notary public.

Elaine has held many offices for the Insurance Women of Fulton County in the past, most recently treasurer. An active member of the Sacandaga Boat Club, she has held several offices in the First Mates.

An avid gardener, Elaine has served as president of the Amsterdam Area Garden Club for several years. Her most notable accomplishment with this group is the Memorial Rose Garden at City Hall.

Trudi Cromling
Personal Insurance Counselor

Trudi Cromling is a 1993 graduate of SUNY Morrisville College holding an Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems. She started in the insurance business in 1993 and holds a New York State Property & Casualty License.

Trudi has held many offices for the Insurance Women of Fulton County in the past, most recently Treasurer.

Trudi is an active member of the Northampton United Methodist Church and serves as a volunteer Sunday school teacher. Trudi and her husband Pat reside in the Town of Providence with their children, Joshua and Madison.
